Zak Sherlund

Zak Sherlund is a seasoned soccer coach and former collegiate standout with a rich history in the game. A San Luis Obispo native, Zak played for Marymount University’s men’s soccer team, where he made a significant impact on the program.

Zak’s local ties to the Central Coast community gives him the perspective to leverage and address a local player’s inherent strengths and weaknesses and understand Central Coast development gaps.

During his time at Marymount, Zak was recognized for his leadership on the field and earned notable honors, including All-Conference accolades. His time as a player set the foundation for his coaching career, and he brings that experience and knowledge to his work with athletes today.

Zak’s coaching philosophy emphasizes player development, teamwork, and a deep understanding of the game. He is committed to fostering growth in young athletes and helping them build both their technical skills and mental resilience on and off the field.
